Zeno Construction was instructed to refurbish the playground at Rushmere Park Academy. The main challenge Zeno faced was addressing ongoing drainage problems and ensuring the surface was fit for use as a school playground. To ensure little to no disruption to the school, the project was scheduled and completed within the summer holidays.

 

The refurbishment began with the excavation and removal of the existing playground surface and play equipment. Once removed, the Zeno team installed a new drainage system to address the persistent pooling issues, with Breedon PlayCourt tarmac also being installed to improve water run off and ensure a durable and robust surface for the playground.

 

Finally, brand new playground equipment was installed, completing the refurb and delivering a safe, modern play area for the students.
