Zeno Construction was instructed to design, test and install a robust solution to reduce the risk of a fall from an existing balcony and walkway area in Haberdashers Abraham Darby Secondary School.

 

Working alongside the client, initially, several design options were proposed to the governors, who then chose a solution which was robust, low maintenance, aesthetically pleasing and still allowed light into the areas affected. The bespoke solution was all handmade, with the colour specified to match the Trust's branding. Sample areas were erected and strength tests were undertaken to ensure that there would be no safety issues once installed.

 

Works were completed within non-school times, and the solution delivered has eradicated the risk of falling.
