Ashurst Block, Stantonbury
Overview: Internal Refurb
Client: Stantonbury School
Sector: Education
Zeno Construction was appointed to deliver a major refurbishment of the Ashurst Block at Stantonbury School in Milton Keynes, a public sector design and build project valued at £850k. Working within a live school environment, the project was carefully planned and coordinated to maintain site safety while minimising disruption to students and staff.
The scheme encompassed a full internal refurbishment of the sports block, including the complete replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, new ventilation, and upgraded facilities. A new extension was added to provide modern changing rooms, and existing toilet facilities were refurbished to meet current standards.
External works included the installation of new windows and doors and a full roof replacement on the existing building. The project team also played a key role in planning and coordination across the wider school site, supporting works to other buildings and ensuring a cohesive, well-managed delivery strategy.
This project demonstrates Zeno Construction’s ability to deliver complex refurbishment works in live environments, providing modern, functional, and safe educational facilities while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
